No European or third-country student/staff candidates can benefit from a second scholarship for the same type of mobility under another project under the EMA2-STRAND1. Furthermore, candidates cannot benefit from more than one mobility activity within the same project.
Candidates from non-EU partner countries, who have participated in another Erasmus Mundus programme and stayed in EU host country for more than 12 months in last 5 years can not also take part in ACTIVE programme.

Scholarship Categories

Group1

Nationals of European Union, Belarus, Moldova, Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia who are registered as students or employed as staff in one of the ACTIVE  partner universities.

Students who are currently registered in a higher education institution of these countries that is included in the ACTIVE partnership.

Staff applicants must be employed at their home university by the time of the mobility.

Mobility levels: Undergraduate, Master, Doctorate, Post-doctorate, Staff

Group 2

Nationals of European Union, Belarus, Moldova, Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia who are registered as students or employed as staff of  these countries that is not included in the ACTIVE partnership.

Students who are currently registered in a higher education institution of these countries that is not included in the ACTIVE partnership,

OR

who hold a university degree or equivalent from any higher education institution in of European Union, Belarus, Moldova, Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia. This includes persons working in public administration, public and private enterprises who hold a degree for any university of European Union, Belarus, Moldova, Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia.

Staff applicants must be employed at of these countries that is not included in the ACTIVE partnership by the time of the mobility.

Staff Candidates from the target group two must be employed in Higher Education Institution.

Mobility level: Master, Doctorate, Post-doctorate, Staff

Group 3

Nationals of the Belarus, Moldova, Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia who are in particularly vulnerable situations, for social and political reasons. For example:

  1. having a refugee status or asylum beneficiaries (international or according to the national legislation of one of the European recipient countries) or
  2. it can be proved that they have been the object of unjustified expulsion from university on racial, ethnic, religious, political, gender or sexual inclination or
  3. they belong to an indigenous population targeted by a specific national policy or IDPs (Internally Displaced Persons)
